The Regency Inn is regal. We stay there 21 days and I can’t overstate how comfortable and luxurious it was for the price! The room exceeded our expectations and was as nice as the nicest reviews on the web said it was. What a hidden secret, what a gem! The recently remodeled bath had the same, luxurious brownish-tan wall tiles as a ritzy, luxurious restaurant in the area. The sink-vanity had a fabulous, brown granite counter top. The pillow-top-mattressed bed was extremely comfortable – my wife and I both enjoyed splendid sleep and woke up very refreshed. The best beds ever – even better than at a downtown metropolitan hotel. There were five pillows on our king bed. The room’s furnishings were elegant in appearance, with warm colors on that made the entire room feel very comfortable, enriching, and inviting.. We had just the right amount of blankets. The air conditioning was superb, just perfect. Moreover, the property management was just excellent. The family that runs the facility made every effort to more than meet our needs – to go over and above to make sure we were comfortable and could make our way around the city and the environs. And the price! Wow, what a tremendous value for all this. We paid a lot less than at the place we had stayed at the previous year in the area. When we go back to visit our family in the area, we would definitely stay at the Regency inn again. We felt like royalty there, with outstanding quality and superior value for the price. The management treated us as if we were a part of their family. Oh, yes, parking was excellent too!

Room Tip: Just let the Innkeeper know what your needs are. She will provide you the best!

“What a gem, what a surprise!”

I reserved this hotel a month in advance after doing research online first for all the hotels in the Eagle Rock area and this one had the best reviews. Yes, it does not look that extravagant from the outside, but who cares, it’s the room inside that matters and with that said, we had a flat screen tv, fridge, microwave and a large king size bed and a sofa. The room was clean, the front counter attendants were super nice and friendly. Yes, there is no elevator, and I was on the second floor, so a little exercise is ok with me, but I did not mind at all the lack of an elevator. My wife, son and I slept great the whole 6 nights we stayed here and for what I paid I am very satisfied. If anything this is better and less than the more popular hotels around here, so if you want more for your money, a great room and an ideal location, you will not find a better one in this area. This is the best little hotel in Eagle Rock, no doubt about it!

The Best hotel in Eagle Rock”

We booked two rooms for a week during the Christmas holidays while visiting family in Eagle Rock. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms were immaculate and the daily housekeeping was timely and thorough. Located just minutes from I-5 and Hwy 2 on Colorado Blvd., this motel is an easily affordable jewel in the northern LA/Pasadena/Glendale area. We wholeheartedly recommend it for all travelers including families with young children.

Room Tip: Note there is no elevator in this three story motel.

“Perfect Holiday Visit”

Recently stayed at this hotel during fourth of july weekend so we could go to the pasadena rose bowl. We had such a lovely stay and the rooms were beyond our expectation. The decor was modern and the pillow top mattresses were so comfortable that we did not want to wake up in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free wireless internet and many great places to eat in walking distance. We will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to our friends!

“Great Hotel...will come back for sure!”

Best bed I’ve ever slept in in this category of hotel. Great sheets, comforters and lots of pillows. Don’t let the dated exterior fool you. They have done a wonderful job with room renovation and decor. Very tasteful. Along with free bottled water they also have Keurig coffee makers rather than those awful drip ones you find in places like Embassy Suites. Really has the feel of a 3-4 star hotel not a motel. The staff was particularly pleasant and helpful. Plenty of nearby F&B and convenient shopping including Target and Macys. It will be my new go to place when visiting my daughter at Occidental.

“Great Value & Great Staff”

Words can’t express what a treasure we found in the Regency Inn.

My nine-year-old son and I stayed June 25-28, 2013, and everything was perfect.

The staff made us feel like part of the family. The hotel is just off the interstate, is clean and comfortable, very quiet for a city atmosphere, and is close to many restaurants, gas stations, a strip mall, donut shops, stores, banks and other businesses.

Best of all, it’s very affordable for a divorced father on an extremely tight budget (unlike just about everything else in Southern California).

True, there aren’t many spaces in the parking lot and there is no elevator to take you to guest rooms on the second and third floors.

But the motor court is enclosed and there’s somebody at the desk 24 hours a day. This was especially helpful on the first night, when we returned late from a Dodgers game.

If we ever get back to the Los Angeles, we will definitely stay again at the Regency.

“Can't say enough good things”

Complete surprise, considering it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the rooms are super big, with really nice features:  desk with rolly-chair, lots of fluffy pillows, refrigerator, microwave, fairly large bathroom.

This room would have cost $350 in Manhattan.  But  a room with a King Sized bed on a weedend was only $85/night.   Although, given that Eagle Rock is now one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the country, I’m guessing it might not stay so inexpensive in the future.

The woman at the front desk was super friendly and very professional.

If you have friends staying from out of town, or you’re visiting from out of town and don’t want to plunk down the $250 for what is essentially the same quality of room at the Pasadena Westin, then you could certainly do much worse than the conveniently located Regency.

"Really nice."

We recently stayed at this property as our son graduated Occidental College. The rooms are immaculate, the comfort level of the beds are no less comfortable then Hyatt or Hilton. Each morning the staff would treat the guests to some of the best freshly ground coffee I have ever had, accompanied by delicious danish pastries and good conversation. The property is centrally located, close to the freeway and public transportation runs right out front. The rates are fair and reasonable. The staff of this family owned business bent over backwards to accommodate us as we needed extra nights. I would strongly recommend the Regency Inn to all travelers to the region. We most definitely go back next time we visit Los Angeles.
